Dong Zhi

Yesterday was Dong Zhi (Winter Solstice Festival) and it means that's da end of year 2005 and da chinese will welcome chinese new year in a month time! Wooohoo...can't wait for it...lotsa angpows and angpows and angpows.......:D What we normally do on Dong Zhi? Oh well, the whole family will get together to have a meal and to eat tangyuan, a kind of stuffed or unstuffed small dumpling ball made of glutinous rice flour. As usual, mom will be pretty busy early in da morning of Dong Zhi to perform prayers and therefore, we made da tangyuan one day earlier which was on Wednesday nite and trust me, it was really fun! Check out da beautiful and yummylicious tangyuen that we'd made..



Roll and roll and roll da tangyuen dough into da size of a small lime...huh...white and pink color mixed together? Muahahaha...that's my dad and darling's artwork..:p


Hohoho....look at it....it's boiled by mom in da pot with brown sugar, pandan leaves and ginger...

Finished on da tangyuen, darling and i helped mom to prepare da fruits for prayers...

Oh boy, i am one year older now :I .......
