La Casa Cafe @ Bandar Menjalara

One fine afternoon, while we were somewhere around Kepong area and looking for food we decided to drop by at La Casa Cafe. Located in da Bandar Menjalara shoplots area, we were kinda surprised seeing da signboard operates under Chef Ken. I think they should really rename its signboard cause it's rather confusing to da patrons.

We started off with Caesar Salad. Priced at RM 10 per small bowl, we really think that it's way too pricey for such a little portion!!!!! Oh my god, I just can't stop myself comparing da one I had before @ Food Foundry a month back and trust me, it tasted soooooooo much better, bigger portion and cheaper too. RM 10 without Bacon okay!!!!! O_o and served with messy Half-Boiled Egg, it really spoilt my apetite :( Bear in mind that, if you want additional topping like Turkey Bacon and Chicken to da Caesar Salad, you got to pay extra RM 3 and RM 5 for da Smoked Salmon topping!!!!! O_o it's crazy!

Darling had da Penne Pollo Al Pomodoro. Priced at RM 13.90, it came with Chicken Breast, Tomato and Fresh Basil which darling mentioned that it wasn't too good. Da Penne was rather hard, just like half cooked and da sauce was kinda oily with lotsa Garlic in it till he had to ask me, "Should there be so much of Garlic in this sauce?" Well, I was rather speechless :p

I ordered da Spaghetti Ala Marinara which's priced at RM 17.90. Da pasta which came with Assorted Seafood, White Wine and Tomato was really hopeless :( Da Spaghetti was so hard that as if it was uncooked while da sauce was darn oily! Nevertheless, it did came with lotsa Clams, Mussels and Prawns (it tasted one kind, not fresh!) but how can da sauce ended up that oily and kinda diluted?! My other half thought that his Pasta was bad enough but when he tasted mine, he laughed and said that mine tasted even worst till to da extend that he jokingly asked me, "Do you need Tobasco Sauce since it's tasteless!" :(

Overall, disappointed over da food that we ordered. Perhaps, we ordered da wrong stuff? I really don't know about that but it kinda turn us off though. Price wise, not cheap okay!!!!!! Whether we will be back to this place to try other selections would definitely be remained as a question :(

gosh, sorry to hear abt yr bad experience. That day when we went, we zoomed in on their specialties hence I think we got the better dishes. Maybe the cook was on leave as Jason thought the food was ok? It was also quite packed with people when we went there abt 2pm hence we decided to try the place.
