Koon Kei Wan Tan Mee @ Petaling Street, KL

Well, well, well.... kindly take note, our wedding date has been set! :D As claimed by "Loh Tit Pat", 2008 is da best year for us to get married and our big day is on 22-11-2008 ;) So, looks like we still have plenty of time to prepare for our wedding. One thing, we are still pretty unsure when to register... perhaps on 08-08-08? :D :D

Right after da meeting with "Loh Tit Pat", we walked down to Petaling Street and decided to have brunch at "Koon Kei Wan Tan Mee". Da Restaurant itself is actually located behind those stalls that sell handbags and watches. If you don't know that area well, please get someone to go with you cause you may just end somewhere else. Lucky thing that darling and darling's mom was with me cause I am actually quite afraid to walk around this street. Please don't get offended but I somehow find da people here rude :| and after da incident that I witnessed at Madras Lane, I've actually develop a phobia at some point eating here.

Darling's mom and I had da "Char Siew Wan Tan" Noodles. Priced at RM 3.80 per plate, da Noodles came with few slices of "Char Siew" and "Wan Tan". Da Egg Noodles were quite springy and came in a generous portion but unfortunately we didn't like da Bbq Pork cause of its hard and dry texture.

Darling was way smarter to have da Noodles with Mushroom and Chicken Feets, absolutely yummy but he got to pay more for this version, RM 4.50 if not mistaken :)

We also ordered a small bowl of Soup Dumplings with Prawn fillings in it to be shared. I couldn't really recall how much it costs but definitely less than RM 5 for 5 pieces. Tastes wise, okay just like da usual Dumplings, nothing much to shout about though..

Am not too sure over da history of "Koon Kei" but one thing that I heard from my parents and darling's mom that is, this Restaurant has been here for many many years and they used to be very famous back then.

My heartiest congratulations beforehand, *and the first of many more to come :P*, on getting a wedding date all set. Undoubtedly the 080808 date would be picked by many other aspiring couples to register their wedding date, but since it's for such a jovial occasion, i doubt u lovebirds would mind the crowd :P no?
