As da whole world knows, last Sunday was Mother's Day and I wonder how did you all celebrate it, what gift did you buy for your dearest mommy? As far as I am concern, Jackson (Living In Food Heaven) brought her mom to Empress Cafe @ The Curve for a decent dinner, Lianne (FoodieLianne) packed some Taiwanese Vegetarian Food for her mom for lunch, Fatboybakes treated This year around we bought mom a CD-Player as she hinted us months ago that she needed one to be tucked right at da small corner of our Kitchen Cabinet :) Oh for your information, my mom loves music, she sings while she cooks or maybe dance too! ;) Of course, she was very happy when she found out that she received a pressie that she had been wanted, could see her joyful smile and we are all glad that she likes it. On da same day, we brought her to Crown Princess Hotel, KL for Hi-Tea. Well, our initial plan was to have lunch buffet @ Lemon Garden but when dad found out that there was this special celebration with a tribute to Teresa Teng by Felicia & Kathy Phuah @ Crown Princess, he hinted us to bring mom over cause he thinks that quite affordable for da price of RM 68++ per pax. I was abit reluctant at first cause I don't even know who they are, most probably local artists as dad confirmed me. Secondly, never been to Crown Princess and not sure if mom gonna love da food at this place. Anyways, mom gave green light and reservation was made 2 weeks in-advanced. Rather hectic driving to this Hotel cause it's actually located right behind City Square, Ampang and we didn't realised it. We went another big round and finally managed to find da Hotel. To be truthful, da place is quite awful, not properly managed, looks old and da Lobby is actually right beside da Mall.. O_o Darling asked me not to complain so much but when we reached da Car-park area, oh my god... so horrible! So dark, no directions to da lifts and I could see some big-shot rich families going merry go round just to look for lifts to da lobby or maybe to da great grand ballroom where da event held, poor thing... just like us! Thank god that we'd earlier dropped dad and mom at da hotel main entrance or else it gonna scared them away! Okay, enough of story... I believe it wouldn't be that bad if we would just leave our car key to da jockeys. Ohhh well, that will never ever happen anyways cause we don't trust outsiders, especially dad and fiance. Definitely a no, no!
That day, Aunty (mom's sis) was with us too and she said that da aromatic Curry Noodle was delicious :)
Many kinds of Cooked Food selection from Vegetables to Poultry to Seafood, Sweet, Sour, Salty, Spicy.... everything suits our tastebuds :D
Silly me find this cute and adorable, also... my favourite! Unlimited Sausages rolling up and down, ready to be served with kinds of Condiments :D
Woohoo.... look, look! My favourite corner...... Cakes, Cheesecakes, Puddings, Cookies, Ice-creams, "Kuih-muih" and Fruits!
Oh there was a lucky draw where darling was so lucky to win a Vochelle Hamper worth at least RM50! :D
There were a few surprise contests, dad kept encouraged me to go up with mom and so, we did! Up there, I thought da contest was kinda easy where mom chose one of her favourite M&M colour to one side and I got to eat up da rest of other M&Ms. Sounds easy right? I was wrong! Trust me, I had problem chewing it and swallowing it. I think I was da slowest of all to da extend that mom suggested me not to eat them one by one, instead... grab all da M&Ms and throw inside my mouth. I did that but end of da day, we lose out cause I was too slow! Da lady in Orange (beside our table) with her mom won da contest, she was superbly fast! I find her amazing and she really deserved to be da winner! Nevermind that we lose cause mom definitely enjoyed having some fun up there and there was still a small gift for us! :D
I thought this contest was fun, you must be thinking what was going on right? Come on, make a guess! :p
Enough of food, enough of prizes, enough of fun.... da moment that everybody waited for has finally arrived! She (Felicia Phua) sang quite a number of Teresa Teng's songs that afternoon and she had a very sweet voice! Not bad at all.....
Her sista, Kathy Phua came up to da stage later to sing few English songs, one of them so happened to be my favourite, "Mama" by Spice Girls. Lovely......
