Daddy's Day Dinner @ Ee Chinese Cuisine, Eastin Hotel

Weekend was too short for me, watched Fantastic 4 Friday night and find it not that fantastic after all, still think that part 1 was way better! Shop for groceries on Saturday, then Sunday morning accompanied parents for a lovely breakfast. Right after that, we went to The Curve and I bought a new toy; a Gym Ball, for my daily work out! Yada yada... tried it and I love it! :D

So, what little present did you get for your beloved daddy on Father's Day? As for us, we bought a box of Cordyceps for dad and of course, a dinner treat too! This year around, we head over to Ee Chinese Cuisine @ Eastin Hotel for a lovely Chinese meal. I would say that it was definitely one good choice to dine-in here as to avoid da super packed and noisy crowd at other Chinese Restaurants on this special day :)

Complimentary Tidbits snack (Walnuts with Sesames) to welcome us :) Liked it very much to da extend that da greedy me felt like to ask for another plate! Well, I couldn't do that especially dining with my parents, got to behave or else dad gonna bombard me having no table manners lol...

First dish was a plate of Superior Spinach Soup topped with lotsa "Kei Chi" and Garlic. A wonderfully and aromatic tasting Soup, absolutely delicious! When I was still a kid, I remember that mom always used to say, "Eat more Spinach, it's good for you!" and now I know why, a good source of calcium..... :D

Next dish was a plate of Sweet, Sour and Spicy Prawns. We all gave thumb up for this superbly fresh and springy Prawns, delicious! Da tastes of da sauce was just at da right level for our taste buds and best of all it came with lotsa Onions and Bell Peppers! Yumzzzz....

Dad loves Bean curd so I ordered this home-made special Bean curd for him. Da specialty of this Bean curd is that it's actually made of 3 layers where da 1st layer consists of shredded Mushrooms, 2nd layer was an original Soy Beans while we tasted a hint of Seafood in da final layer. Topped with sliced Abalone, with no doubts, this dish has our vote! :)

We also ordered 1/2 a Roasted Chicken accompanied with Prawn Crackers. Crispy and tender, I liked it! However, mom complaint that it was too dry for her liking...

Final dish of da night was a plate of Sea Cucumber with Fish Maw and Broccoli. This dish is my all-time favourite when comes to Chinese cuisine! Woohooo... one word, yummy! New mothers, take note, Fish Maw is good for you as to help reinforce ligaments after delivery. So eat more of these..... ;)

Overall, da dinner was all good, managed to meet dad's expectations! It's very important that dad enjoyed his meal cause da treat was basically for him on this special day :) Total bill came up to RM 300 only, inclusive a pot of Tea, we find it pretty affordable. Service was excellent, da staff was very patience to take our orders and explain to us in details da way they gonna cook our dishes, thumbs up for that! Environment wise, da surrounding conditions just great enough for us to have a quiet and harmony dinner! Once again, Happy Daddy's Day to you, dad! We love you lots, always and forever will be! Hope that you enjoyed and had a great Father's Day......

Oh, I also find the fantastic 4 movie a bit disappointing. Anyway, the food does look good. I went to Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant on Father's Day. It's absolutely good. You should try it one day.

hi ps, thanks for dropping by and i was thinking of e-mailing you but unfortunately i couldn't find your e-mail add as you didn't publish it in your profile.. well, to be truthful, me and my fiance think that chinese wedding menu set @ tai thong is definitely way better than other restaurants based on our experiences...
