Ajisen Ramen @ 1 Utama

Hey people, please help! I am still coughing very badly at da moment. Medicines and cough syrup not curing me, so sad, so sad! Everyone in da family is complaining that I am spreading da virus and they suggest to quarantine me and NO SHARING of everything!!! Sobzzz..... :( Any special ways to cure me? Please, please let me know! :)

Last Wednesday, when we were at 1 Utama to watch Harry Potter (da 5th episode), we decided to have dinner at Ajisen Ramen (just opened a couple of weeks back). It's good to know that there's a new place for us to try out.. after all, we sometimes get bored with da food and eateries at 1 Utama. Located near da TGV cinema, I find this place (ambience wise) not too bad, with soft lighting and it has quite a spacious area where you can opt to sit on da chairs or sit on da tatami mats.

Chili Flakes, Chili Oil and Shallot Flakes for you to add da extra spicy sensation to your Ramen..

Sis and I had da Luncheon Meat Ramen (RM 8.80). As per my survey, I found out that they serve 1/2 hard boiled egg to each bowl of Ramen and da rest, is up to your choice. They've few selections; with "Cha Siu", Vege, Dumpling and etc.

Darling ordered da Volcano Ramen (RM 18.90). O_o expensive right?! Pay extra RM 10 for da Chili!

Overall, not too good! Three of us find da noodles soggy, having one kind of smell like you know, those pre-pack noodles? That's how we feel and da soup base, very oily! Just couldn't believe that they actually dare to mention it in da menu that their milky soup base could easily lower down our cholesterol level! Well, it would be our first time and last time here :) You judge it and let me know yah.....

meiyen,
I can see the soup base is really oily. Especially for the Volcano Ramen. Or is it because of the chilli oil?

As for the cough, you can try McDonald sundae. Yea, you didn't read wrong. It's sundae! My uncle told me there was once he went to the chinese sinsei, he heard the chinese sinsei tell the other patient to go for an ice-cream since he has a cough. I don't know how true it is. My uncle tried it and he said it's useful! It's at your own risk. :P

I had the same coughing issues too previously. Asked the same questions and got some really good cough remedies. A bit malas to re-type, but they can be found in this entry:
http://nawooz.blog.com/1712927/

btw, my personal experience...warm water + honey works wonders. also, the ubat batuk cap ibu dan anak is not too bad. provides good relief.

is your cough with phlegm or dry and unproductive like mine.

Other than medicines, you should stay away from certain food too like chinese cabbage and chicken.(that's what my mom told me before)
The ramen seem kinda good to me but it does look oily.

i remembered i try this brand in SHanghai before but the food there was good. Sad that most food from franchise doen't consistent in their taste... probably the ingredients is different from place to place.
