Penang: First Day Lunch @ Global Bay, Batu Feringghi

Another weekend has come and gone, it's Monday again! :| Well, not that bad actually as I am more than happier watching Raikkonen won da British Grand Prix yesterday! Yada yada.. wooohooo, Ferrari is back in action! ;)

For da time being, let's go back to my Penang trip. Since we were staying at da Batu Feringgi area and weren't keen to go down town on da very first day we arrived, we decided to have a quick lunch at Global Bay which is located right opposite Golden Sands Resort :) From my findings, there were a few stalls operating around and not all of them were opened, maybe it had passed da usual lunch hour.

Our first order was a plate of Fried "Keow Teow". Before I start to comment, would love to clarify that I hardly have "CKT" and when I get to taste it over my very first bite, whoaaa..... yummy! Absolutely love da big and fat Bean sprouts which I don't think you could easily find it in KL. Priced at RM 4, there were big Prawns and Cockles but darling mentioned that not much of "wok hei" can be detected though..... so to him, it tasted okay only :)

Next order was a plate of Korean Seafood Pancake. I tell ya, it was simply delicious and I kept telling my other half that it tasted so much better than da one we had before at Bon Ga, Bangsar. It was so light, so fluffy and oh so versatile! I got hooked with it and pretty impressed that it wasn't doughy and wasn't oily at all. Just so good! :D Price wise, if am not mistaken it's about RM 10 per plate and I think it's real worthy ;)

Our first taste of Penang food was good and if so happens that you are staying around Batu Feringgi area, do give this place a try as they open for lunch and dinner :)

I never actually tried the food in Batu Ferringhi but i was told most of the time its expensive and cater for tourist....If you like seafood, there's one pretty popular (not sure with tourist or locals) towards the end of the road.... End of the World I think.... it's after Batu Ferringhi... after Mutiara Hotel(Teluk Bahang I think)
:P

My house was just right behind global village, like 5 minutes walk. But I sold it earlier this year as it was just left empty since I am in the US. I miss Batu Ferringgi, such a relaxing place.
